So we had Willow’s Parent Teacher interview last week and I’ll be honest, I freaked out. Since then, I’ve spoken to my friends (some with children and some without children) and A – I’ve come to the conclusion (finally! you might be thinking) that I need to relax and accept Willow for the gorgeous, unique [...]

I finally uploaded the photos, so you’ll know what I’m talking about – Calenday. Dexie had to be in the photo. This is how we hang it up. The proportions.

From this: Willow at one day old. To this: Willow yesterday: This time five years ago, my gorgeous girl was 16.5 hours – we were on a post-birth high, amazed with the beautiful creature we had made.

So yesterday when we went into the city we parked in one of the big concrete multi level car parks. You know the kind, low ceilings, dark and dank. Willow hopped out of the car and said “Look at the sparkles, Mummy!” She had noticed the sparkles – possibly caused by iron pyrite – in [...]

I’m so disappointed – I was looking for a movie to take Willow to, but the ones showing at the moment are all a bit scary for our precious petal. Then I saw Ponyo and fell in love. I adore Hayao Miyazaki’s films, especially Spirited Away. It was showing last Wednesday, then this Saturday at [...]
