Bag Tag
I decided that Dexie needed something else on his bag. For someone who was against commercialisation of children’s things, I’m not doing so well – he’s got a Thomas the Tank Engine bag, a Maisy bag tag and now a Hungry Caterpillar bag tag. Plus his new TTTE sneakers. The front. The back. It’s pretty [...]

Easter baskets!
About a week ago, I was pottering around the internet looking for some ideas for easter baskets. I saw one idea that looked good, but of course, I didn’t bookmark the page so now I can’t find it. It was a simple idea though, so with a bit of help from Willow, we made two [...]

Hearts quilt
Love is not perfect and neither is this quilt. Willow loves it though and that’s all that matters. FYI, quilts are rather difficult to photograph at night.

Sneak peek
This is the little quilt I’m working on. First, the appliqued hearts. Then the actual quilting. The quilt uses a calico backing, and I had plenty of scraps for the hearts. It’s based on an quilt in the February 2010 Get Creative magazine.

The Very Hungy Caterpillar
One day there was a little girl. She was invited to her friends birthday party, so her mummy made an apron as a present for her friend. Her mummy wanted to take a photo of the apron, so while she had a shower, she asked the little girl’s daddy to take photos of her wearing [...]

Bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein Junior.
I made two more pairs of undies today, one for Willow and one for me. I thought the white elastic and stitching might lighten my pair, but they really just look like granny undies! I have found another pattern that looks a bit more modern. Willow chose the purple elastic, so that’s what I went [...]

Papie!
Papie is the word Dexie uses for paper at the moment, very cute, we think. I recently printed off 24 A4 pages to make up a pattern, sticky taped them together and traced it on to thin interfacing. When I was finished with the paper, I turned it over and gave it to Dexie to [...]
