Just checking in…
It’s the end of another weekend so I thought I’d do the obligatory post. The uni semester has also ended, which is a big relief. I submitted my take home exam in the early hours of Friday morning and have been stressing about it on and off since then. Mostly because I was working on the Linux box using Open Office, Google Docs, then A’s computer to submit it in Word. I had to reassure myself that I’d submitted it with all the correct formatting, line spacings and margins.
So, no, I still don’t have my laptop and I’m typing this using a wireless keyboard and the TV.
We had a friend over for dinner on Saturday night, we made individual pizzas and had apple pie for dessert. Her daughter goes to FDC with Dexie, but she’ll be starting school soon. She and Willow adore each other, so for the most part it was a lovely cosy night. I made some spiced apple juice, which the kids refused, so we had it in wine glasses with the cinnamon sticks as stirrers. Very yummy!
We had a very lazy day today, the house work was all done yesterday, so we spent most of the day in the warm lounge room. It has been so cold here – I went down to turn the heater on and it was 10c in the bedroom!
My plans for the holidays (such as they are!), include going to the gym, donating blood, having my gall bladder out and recovering from it, getting a head start on next semester and catching up with some friends.
