From one extreme to the other!

Without my laptop, I’ve been using my iTouch to access the Internet. Tonight, however, A had the media centre set up and I’ve been using the TV to access the Internet. So, I’ve gone from having the iTouch about 20cm in front of my face, to the TV screen, which is about 4 metres away from me! At least I can type faster on a real keyboard!

We had a long weekend here, for the birthday of a meaningless monarch, when her actual birthday is on April the 21st. Not complaining though, it was nice to have a few days at home to chill out. Chill being the operative word. It’s really cold here now.

Our warming measures include the reverse cycle AC in the loungeroom, a fan heater on the wall in the kid’s bedroom, electric blankets and a small fan heater in our bedroom.

I forgot to add something about the consult I had with the surgeon for my gallstone operation. He asked me to get up on the examination table so that he could palpate my stomach. Apparently you can’t feel the gallbladder, it’s quite well protected by the liver. Anyway, he had a bit of a feel of my stomach, then said I could get up. As he left the room, he mentioned that I have an umbilical hernia.

WTF? How can I have gone through two pregnancies and not have known this? He will fix it – he has to as one of the ports for the laproscopic operation needs to go in through my belly button. So it’s two for the price of one operation!

One of my dearest friends came over tonight – we were planning on seeing a movie, but she had her dog with her, sot hat just wasn’t going to work out. I usually catch up with her on my own, so it was good to see her with the kids. Willow was all over her like a rash – she’s like that with everyone, pretty much. Dexie had his own stuff to do, but he was appropriately cute. When my friend left, he went to give her a high five, then ended up giving her a cuddle.

My eyes feel like they are about to pop out of my head, so I’ll finish this now and head to bed. Another week is about to begin.
