Sewing!
I don’t know what it is about the new year, but I’m not the only one who has started sewing more! My friend Tigerfilly has been at the machine too.
The pattern for this pincushion was in the Sew Hip magazine. It looked too cute to pass up – a nice easy project.
This green t-shirt was from Target – it’s easy to embellish girls t-shirts but boys are a bit harder.
I went with a D and an appliqued arrow on the sleeve.
One of the things I found in the spare room was my copy of Amy Butler’s book, In Stitches. It had a pattern for a bag, along with a bag tag. It suited this Maisy material perfectly.
He has a Thomas the Tank Engine bag for Family Day Care, so it will go on there.
He is going through a destructive stage – who am I kidding, he is just plain destructive! – so I might have to be careful he doesn’t get hold of it and pull it too hard!
