Bah humbug!

We went into the city to do some Xmas shopping today, as we expected it was very busy. Probably not as busy as it is likely to get though.

Willow is getting…

Sylvanian Families Willow Hall and Conservatory
Accessories for above
Toy horse on a stick (will be a bugger to wrap!)
Pyjamas
The day I swapped my Dad for two goldfish by Neil Gaiman.

Dexter is getting…

Toy horse on a stick
Pyjamas
Imaginarium Spiral Train set
A mini library of Thomas the Tank Engine books
A pack of Steve Parish books

I still need to find their stockings and buy some little things for those but I think that’s our Xmas shopping finished – for them anyway. A and I still have to get our presents to each other and we need to get other assorted Xmas presents.

We haven’t been into the city for awhile, so it was nice to see the Christmas decorations out. Willow loves the waterfall (fountain) near David Jones. She met a robot puppet, which she adored and was brave enough to go up for a cuddle.

As we were heading back to the car park, we planned to stop to see Father Christmas at the Magic Cave but the wait (at 4pm) was an hour and a half, so we thought we’d save that for another day. On the way Willow and I tried on the perfume Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf. At first smell it was gorgeous, but I’m not so keen on the smell on me now.

A checked the mail box today and from Friday we got Willow’s report card. We were very pleased with her results, as non-specific as they are. Her report had three categories, Emerging, Usually and Consistently. Of the qualities she was assessed on, she received about 75% Consistently and 25% Usually. In particular, she is caring, principled, open minded and reflective. We are so proud of her.
