raising willow… and dexter!

This morning we went to the Norwood Christmas Parade – there are a few that take place around the city, but this was the most convenient to us in terms of location and time. In contrast to the Adelaide Christmas Parade, it was cold and raining. We got there at about 9.20am and had breakfast at a cafe. I had the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, A had a ham and cheese croissant with a hash brown. I ordered bacon, eggs and toast for the children, but as I expected, they barely ate any.

The Parade started at 10am and while we had a good view from where we were, we left the cafe to sit on the sidelines. Willow got a few freebies, but she was sitting (we were standing behind her) between two Dads with their children, so I think the people handing things out thought she was with them and didn’t give much to her. She got a bottle of water, some fruchocs, a couple of vouchers and a sticker.

Now the silly season has officially started!

It was the first Parade I’ve been to since I went to the 2003 Mermaid Parade on Coney Island! It was raining for that one too!

Oh and the best part of the parade was watching the Adelaide Star Wars fans walk past. Willow got a high five from a Storm Trooper!
