Look what I made!

Posted November 26th, 2009 by candi

Today was my day off – which really didn’t end up being that much of a day off, since I dropped Dexie off at 10am, picked Willow up at 2.50pm and made one long phone call to work in that time.

My plan for the day was to buy Christmas cards, sit down at a coffee shop and write them out. I was impressed with my memory, since I had about 25 to write. 2 had to be posted today as they are heading overseas and another was going in a present. After that I went to the bead shop to make earrings and beaded bookmarks for Christmas presents. I spent about 2 hours there and made 2 book marks and 3 pairs of earrings. One pair was for me, a bit like cook’s privilege, I deserved earrings too!

I picked Willow up with A and then we went off to the shops for a wander. I had to find something else to add to my friends present – she is a bit of a gourmand, so I added some Maggie Beer burnt fig jam to her parcel, as well as a smiggle multi coloured pen.. Willow and I ended our trip to the shops with white chocolate and strawberry gelati.

Tonight was the usual rush around before the cleaners come, but I also started sort out the toys. Mad thing that I am, this cough is really leaving me out of breath if I do too much.

Fresh water pearls and a SS ball.

I tried to shape an egg again and was slightly more successful.

The very fancy mould.

The result. It went to school with Willow and she actually ate it as far as I know. Perhaps I need to shape all of her food into hearts so she’ll eat it.

I love the earrings! And the egg, impressive! I cut all of the boys sandwhiches into shapes (we have hearts, stars, teddies and something that resembles a hippo, no idea). Sam still won’t eat them.
