A real post.
I thought I should write a real post today as well as WIWT. Tomorrow I have the last lecture for uni this year. Then an exam for my law subject on the 14th and a presentation for my Community Development subject on the 11th. We had to form a group to do the presentation and keep a blog. Of course, being the IT guru* that I am, the job of the blog fell to me. I’ve done a good job so far. Even learnt how to convert .wav files to .mp3 files and upload them so that I could share them on the blog. I did two interviews with community development workers and one of the other group members interviewed the Mayor of the council that our community development project is in.
Yesterday when I picked Dexie up from FDC, he was standing at the TV saying ‘Minyaya!**’ His carer explained that during the summer months in China, they show a cartoon called ‘Minyaya’ on one of the TV channels they receive via satellite. Now that the summer holidays have ended, so has the cartoon.
I have other things I want to write about, like Dexie’s language explosion, but it’s late now and I won’t do it justice.
*IT guru status depends on the IT knowledge of the people to whom I am talking at any given time. I get way demoted when A is around.
**I am not even going to try googling Minyaya. I’m certain that I haven’t pronounced it or spelt it correctly. Bear in mind that I was pronouncing koudong (not even sure if that is correct) as gudong… it is Mandarin for fruit jelly anyway.
