My children tease me!

Posted November 1st, 2009 by candi

I am sitting outside in our courtyard (fancy name for the side yard) with a big mug of coffee and a plate of freshly baked muffins. I used the Nigella Lawson recipe from How to be a Domestic Goddess. I added a banana for depth of flavour.

The jasmine has all but finished blooming. The plant below is from a bulb that Mum bought but never got the chance to plant.

I put the leftover blueberries in a little bowl and was sitting on the kitchen floor sharing them with Dexie. He is so cute when I get down to his level, he kneels or squats down too. So we were eating the blueberries in turn and when we came to the last one, he picked it up, made out to offer it to me then popped it in his own mouth! Cheeky monkey!

Willow did something similar yesterday after the treasure hunt at the party. She brought her stash of lollies and fruit bars to show me and proudly declared that she would share them with me. The other mums all went ‘Awww’, but she ran past me after going back for another look and didn’t end up sharing.
