Laughed so hard it hurt!

Posted November 30th, 2009 by candi

A and I don’t get the chance to go out very often, but when I heard about the THEATRESPORTS CELEBRITY CHALLENGE IX I thought it was worth asking a friend to baby sit the children for us and going out on a Sunday night. It was held at the Holden St theatre, which hosts a [...]

A nice cosy morning.

Posted November 29th, 2009 by candi

Willow, A and I are cuddling up in bed, me on my laptop and they are looking at a puzzle book. Dexie is having a nap – he didn’t have one yesterday and he was a mess by 5pm. I thought he might have dropped his day sleeps by now. This children are going to [...]

Christmas Parade!

Posted November 28th, 2009 by candi

This morning we went to the Norwood Christmas Parade – there are a few that take place around the city, but this was the most convenient to us in terms of location and time. In contrast to the Adelaide Christmas Parade, it was cold and raining. We got there at about 9.20am and had breakfast [...]

Flowers and a heart.

Posted November 27th, 2009 by candi

I took a photo of this plant awhile ago – it was a bulb that my Mum had bought but didn’t get the chance to plant. It has done surprisingly well at my house, despite my brown thumb. Continuing with the heart theme, I found this rock the other day.

Look what I made!

Posted November 26th, 2009 by candi

Today was my day off – which really didn’t end up being that much of a day off, since I dropped Dexie off at 10am, picked Willow up at 2.50pm and made one long phone call to work in that time. My plan for the day was to buy Christmas cards, sit down at a [...]

Posted November 25th, 2009 by candi

My boy cherub stood at the kitchen gate with the universal remote in his hands. Mai? He asked plaintively. Mai, pee? My interpretation of this was “Mother, may I please have the Maisy DVD on? I would appreciate it ever so much.” I agreed reluctantly. Usually I wouldn’t put a DVD on – they are [...]

Ok, I’m not *that* dedicated.

Posted November 24th, 2009 by candi

Perhaps I could make more of an effort with the children’s lunches, but creating special shaped yolks in hard boiled eggs is going a bit too far for me. Shaped egg yolks on Flickr This is how you do it: Well, I got this amazing contraption…. You pour in eggwhites and put a rod inside [...]

Dexie’s new name for himself is Digga. It seems to be a combination of D and go in Dexie-speak. Here is the little chap wearing a t-shirt that his mummy used to wear. My younger auntie gave it to me when I was quite young and Willow wore it when she could fit into it…

The Cough.

Posted November 23rd, 2009 by candi

With a Capital C. We all have it. It is not so much a cough because you have a tickly throat, but a cough because you feel like you are going to drown in your own phlegm. I managed to go to work today because a client had an appointment that I couldn’t miss. Tomorrow [...]
