Pyjamas and horsies

Posted October 31st, 2009 by candi

Last week I went to the Goodwill near work and found a gorgeous Jacquie E dress and a cute top with a Young Expressions (Kmart) label.

I also found these gorgeous pyjamas for Willow. She loves them very much, but didn’t want to wear them to the birthday party today, she dressed as a pirate fairy instead.

The party was up in the Hills and as the birthday girl’s family is into horses, they had two ponies and a horse there for rides. Willow barely got off one before she was on the other. She even got to feed the pony a few carrots. The birthday girl’s mother said that when Willow is a bit older she will invite her up to see if she is a good rider.

The party was delightful, the weather today was supposed to be quite warm, but we stood in the shade of big old trees, drank wine and chatted away. I don’t get to see the school mums/dads very often, mostly at birthday parties so it was nice to catch up with them.

Horse riding is an expensive hobby, so I’m not sure if I want to encourage it!

The last time I rode a horse was on a trail riding ranch in Kentucky. Sadly I was wearing a dress today, so didn’t take the opportunity. I’d love to take Willow to a place that does horse rides and we could both go for a ride. Maybe when she is a bit older.
