Dexie’s first haircut.
Willow had her first haircut at 4 years old, so we put off getting Dexie’s haircut for awhile. I wanted to see how it would grow, but it stayed short at the front and long at the back. He started to look like a mini-bogan and it was getting quite ratty.
This photo is probably a good example, albeit an old one, so it was longer than that once we cut it.
We were thinking of taking him to a hairdressers – the one we took Willow to has a car shaped seat, but we knew he wouldn’t sit still. A got the clippers out but Dexie freaked at the noise and vibration. Plus I didn’t want it too short. Finally, I pulled it all back into a little ponytail and hacked at it. He was not keen on it, so I had to reassure him and do it a snip at a time. I was quite pleased with the end result. He looks like a proper little boy now and my baby is gone.
After a day and a wash. Look at that kissable, smooshable neck!
