Oh poor Dexie! Emily's had hives numerous times, Claratyne is her best friend! It's brilliant stuff. Ironically, I only had it in the house because Kaitlyn was stung by a bee! Soon discovered it comes in handy for hives too. My googling told me though that it's not necessarily an allergic reaction (??).... When I asked the allergist about it for Emily his only suggestion was to give her Claratyne every day through Spring as a prophalactic! I wasn't keen on giving her a drug daily "just in case" so I've only ever given it to her as needed. Allergy skin prick testing revealed nothing, but the allergist said they can only test for a limited number of things, and her issues are most likely environmental, just like her dad, but being able to test for every type of grass, tree, pollen etc out there is impossible! Anyway. Totally useless rave, with no real use other than to say, "Poor Dexie, Emily knows just how you feel!!"
