The weekend so far…
I started this post yesterday but didn’t have time to finish it. I often seem to write about the weekend, on the weekend. Not that I don’t enjoy my job – quite the opposite. Actually I start a new job on Wednesday, which I’m very excited about. The office will be a bit closer to home (eventually, we are in a temp office for now) and the clients will be less acute. I am a bit sad to leave people behind though…

Friday night -I left work early to pick up Willow. I rarely get the chance to do this, A does it. She was so excited to see me – heart warming. I picked up Dexie afterwards so my weekend started early.
Saturday – we pretty much just vegged out at home. We cooked some falafals – that is, I made the mix and A fried them up. I made some gulab jamum, which was heaven in a ball. For dinner we had the last of the cryovac steak and the rest of the falafals. A strange combination, but everyone ate what was on their plate, which is a rare occasion in this house.
It was so nice not to have to go anywhere, no pressure, no clock watching. We did some housework, but the house is still a mess and quite frankly, I don’t care. I spent a lot of time outside watching the kids play, reading the paper.
Sunday, more vegging out at home. We managed to do some food shopping for the week without losing each other. I went out for dinner at Sagarmatha with two of my uni friends. I hadn’t seen them both together for a little while, so it was nice to catch up with them. We had sel roti which was nothing like I expected, but it was nice to try something different.
