So this is Christmas…

For Willow, I think Christmas began at the start of December when we put up the Advent Calendar tree. It has drawers underneath that contain a little ornament for each day.

Then there are the various parties and going out looking at lights. We put up the tree a couple of weeks ago which was exciting for Willow and me because I found an old suitcase of ornaments that used to hand on the tree when I was a little girl. Unsurprisingly, all the playdough ones I made at school have fallen apart. It was exciting for Dexter because there were suddenly all these red balls hanging around fo him to play with. They bounce quite nicely too!

Before we knew it, it was Christmas Eve. Dexter and Willow got to open one present each, which was their new pyjamas and a Freddo Frog. A put Dexie to bed while I took Willow out for one last look at the Brewery Lights. We also drove past the big Christmas tree in Victoria Square. By the time we got home she was barely awake enough to leave out the reindeer food a friend had made and presented to her in little bags.

Of course, as organised as ever, A and I stayed up wrapping presents. There were 3 each, plus new clothes and a stocking from Santa. Willow was very excited in the morning to see all the presents under the tree and a bulging stocking!
