work
So, work, yes, work. I am currently working in a client facing position (so I don’t want to say exactly what it is) in the healthcare sector. It’s interesting and the hours are great+flexible, pay is pretty good too. On the other hand, it’s not something I see myself doing in the long term and it’s not something I really identify with either, the way that disability is.
Most days I start at 12, which means that we have very slow and easy mornings, until Dexie starts getting crabby at about 9am. If it’s not raining next Tuesday, I might bundle them both in the pram and go for a walk.
Willow has a birthday party on Monday, I was a bit cross that the parents hadn’t considered working parents, but then I realised that it would be a public holiday. Silly me! She has to dress up and I think we have that sorted, but I’d like to take Dexie. Need to think of a costume for him though. A forum friend suggested a Bananas in Pyjamas costume because I made two for her twin’s first birthday a few years ago. Not sure I have the energy, but I have wanted to do something creative lately!
