headache

Posted August 16th, 2008 by candi

I am at the uni library to write an essay for one of my subjects.  I am telling my self that it is only 1000 words, easy to knock over.

My head is aching through.  I have a headache – the kind that makes you wince, tense up your neck and squint your eyes.  It is making me nauseous.

It’s my own fault though.  I went off my blood pressure tablets a few months ago and have just started taking them again after getting a reading of 150/100 the other night.  So I filled my script and took a tablet last night.  This medication works by dilating the blood vessels, which has the side effect of a headache.  Ironically, one of the warning signs of high blood pressure is a headache, so I can’t win!

I feel silly for stopping my tablets.  If I were my friend I’d have some stern words to say to myself!

Anyway, I should be making the most of my time in a quiet library!
