Another weekend.
Another weekend speeds by. Fridays end with, “So what are you doing this weekend?” while Mondays begin with “How was your weekend?”.
I caught up with my friends from uni last night. One (K) has a three year old and a 13 year old, the other (J)has grown boys. We got together at K’s house because it is child friendly and big. I made olive oil crackers, bought cheese, dips, strawberries and grapes. J bought spaghetti bolognaise and chicken curry and K did the dessert of a bread and butter pudding. Only she used plain sponge cake instead of bread. Very yummy.
We talked about uni, laughed lots, drank champange, swapped gifts, ate lots of chocolate, talked about life in general, played with the kids. I breast fed Dexter about a million times to try to get him to sleep.
The interesting thing about K and J is that J is having an affair with a married man, while K’s marriage was ended by an affair. K is very challenged by J’s relationship, and we are both concerned for her emotional well being.
Right now I am finishing off the leftover crackers and dip, watching Moloko (now it’s Gotye) in concert on ABC2, doing some Google Scholar searches on “mutual obligation”, making Dexter’s food for the next week, doing the washing and reading blogs.
