Sex and the City!

Posted June 29th, 2008 by candi

I haven’t seen a movie at the cinema for ages, since before Dexter was born, I think. So when my friend suggested a girl’s night out to see Sex and the City, I was keen!

So Saturday night came around, after a day of housework and spending time with the children. I gussied myself up and said my goodbyes. Willow wanted to come with me, of course but I said that I was going out to see my friends. She still wanted to come!

I met my friend, S and two of her friends (one I know, N, and one I’d never met before)at the cinema bar where we had a drink before we went in. The movie itself was great – I won’t give away too much for those who have yet to see it. It made me very appreciative of the love I have in my life, A, Willow and Dexter. I loved seeing the 4 main characters from the tv series up on the big screen. The fashion was amazing, I took particular note of what Cynthia Nixon (a redhead like me) was wearing.

After the movie, we went to the Bath Hotel for a drink. S and I had to have a Cosmopolitan in honour of the movie. N is pregnant, so had to have a mocktail. The combination of having very little to eat -M&Ms and popcorn – and having very little to drink for quite some time meant that the Cosmo hit me hard. It was fun trying to balance on a bar stool while talking about pregnancy and birth!
