Tits and arts!
Last night I met up with my best friend form Uni, S. The opening night of the Fringe Festival was on and I was keen to go. A stayed at home with Willow and I took Dexter in. Unfortunately some bright spark though it would be a good idea to have the Clipsal 500 at [...]

My new necklace!
The silver beads say WILLOW MUMMY and DEXTER. I wanted to make an amber teething necklace for Dexter, but I couldn’t find any big chunks of amber. So this is kind of a breastfeeding necklace with a few tiny chips of amber in between the MUMMY beads.

Decluttering adventures part I
I posted previously about donating our old pram to a high school in order for it to be given to a student who is continuing her education. I gathered together some of the clothes that Dexter had outgrown and some toys that we had too many of and bundled them all into the car. Someone [...]

68cm long!
I measured him when I got him up this morning and he is 68cm long – which puts him on roughly the same percentile as his weight.

8.1kg!

Tomorrow is playgroup again, then a physio appointment for me, then the doctor’s appointment to discuss Willow’s ultrasound. Then on Friday we have a playdate with Willow’s friend from CC. Friday night I am [...]

I think it evens out.
I had my exercise class this morning (1 hour) and I walked to CC to pick Willow up (1 hour). Surely that makes up for the big slice of Galaktoboureko I had yesterday?!

Willow’s ultrasound
Last Monday, I took Willow to have an ultrasound on her abdomen. Long story short, she had a choledocal cyst which was detected at my 20 week ultrasound and then had surgery at 7 weeks to have it removed. Sadly, not all of it could be removed because it was too intertwined with her gall [...]

Books
I have just finished reading this: Yummy Mummy’s Ultimate Family Survival Guide. It was very Bristish, good for a laugh and light enough to cope with, given my current level of sleep deprivation. I read The Glass Menagerie a little while ago. I bought it at a second hand bookshop near my physio – mostly [...]

Spooky!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m not a terribly spiritual person. My Mum and Dad used to be interested in spirituality – in fact, when my Dad’s body was found in bed, he’d been reading a book called ‘Life after death’. So if anyone was going to provide me with proof of such things [...]
