Wow.

So I finally finished the job application today. I had help from two very lovely ladies, they were quite generous with their time. I also did a cover letter which is required.

I printed it all out, the application guide required three copies of the application and my resume. Stuffed it in an envelope and addressed it. Drove there and initially got confused about where to drop it off. Ended up in Welfare services with squabbling single mums, but eventually handed the envelope to someone who promised to give it to the right person.

Decided to take Willow to a cool playground nearby and have lunch there. Spent nearly two hours watching her run around and squeal her little heart out.

Driving home (I pulled over, I’m a good girl!) I got a call on my mobile from the woman I addressed the envelope and letter too. She said that she’d read my application and they were quite keen to get me in. Could I come in for an interview on Wednesday at 12? Of course I could!

So, I’ve organised babysitting, Willow will be in childcare that day. I have to sort out some clothes because I’ve lost so much weight. A darling friend has offered to lend me a skirt or jacket and run through possible questions they might ask.

Yikes, what if I actually get the job? Dexter is only 3 months old and I want to study this year. If I do get it, how flexible will they be?

It’s a dream job, it’s not too far away (10km according to whereis.com), it would be emotionally satisfying, I could do Salary Sacrifice, and most importantly it is permanent.  I’m sick and tired of working on contract after contract.

Ooh. Wow indeed, Candi. Good Luck. They’d be mad to pass you up. And of anyone I “know”, I think you’d be someone who would manage to juggle things admirably.
