Guinness is good for you!

Posted January 31st, 2008 by candi

I had just put Dexter in the pram and was about to walk with Willow to our ABA meeting. I thought she might like to take some water, so I asked her to grab her water bottle from the fridge. She said that she’d grab one for me too, which I thought was going to [...]

I’m a big boy Mummy!

Posted January 30th, 2008 by candi

Willow keeps telling me that she is a boy, or that she wants to be a boy when she grows up. Which is funny because I remember thinking the same thing when I was a bit older than she currently is.

This time three years ago.

Posted January 21st, 2008 by candi

A is putting together Willow’s new bike while we reminisce. This time three years ago I was in the early stages of labour. I’d woken up at 5:30am with contractions, but they were irregular to say the least. They remained irregular for the rest of the day. I had a student midwife who came to [...]

Changes

Posted January 20th, 2008 by candi

You might notice a bit of a change with this site.  Each post still has it’s own page, but they are all shown in their entirety on the index page.  I was a bit worried that people wouldn’t click to read the post and I prefer being able to see the whole post…

Birthday preparations

Posted January 20th, 2008 by candi

It’s Willow’s birthday on Tuesday and her party next Sunday. So today we are leaving Willow with a friend and her daughter who is the same age, and going out to buy a bike for her. There has been a discussion on a forum I go to about leaving your children with friends and/or family. [...]

Job interview

Posted January 16th, 2008 by candi

I think I did ok. I know I could have done better, but I made the panel laugh and that is a good thing. I forgot a few basic things, but was able to make up for it.  I really do have the mindset of a long term case manager, but they only do short [...]

op shopping

Posted January 15th, 2008 by candi

I went to the Salvos to look for a black skirt for my job interview tomorrow. No luck, but I did manage to leave $35.00 poorer for having bought 3 beaded singlets (2 nwt) 2 skirts and one bag. Quite happy with that haul. It really is time for me to go back to work. [...]

Wow.

Posted January 14th, 2008 by candi

So I finally finished the job application today. I had help from two very lovely ladies, they were quite generous with their time. I also did a cover letter which is required. I printed it all out, the application guide required three copies of the application and my resume. Stuffed it in an envelope and [...]

It’s hot today.

Posted January 10th, 2008 by candi

So Willow keeps saying. Supposed to get to 41degrees. If it was the weekend we’d take off down to Victor Harbour. I found a cool blog yesterday – http://www.karencheng.com.au/ I think I want to be like her when I grow up. We have been making invitations for Willow’s Birthday Party -that is to say, I [...]

Why on earth?!

Posted January 9th, 2008 by candi

Why did I think that I’d be able to write a job application today? Granted, Willow is at child care today, but Dexter is being particularly velcro. He’s had a couple of short naps, one of which was taken up by A asking whether or not he should buy a universal remote. I’m glad he [...]
