Brain atrophy
In an attempt to avoid brain atrophy, I bought a couple of books today. One serious and one not so serious. Advance Australia Where, by Hugh McKay and Road to Paradise by Paullina Simons. I am planning to go back to Uni next year, so I don’t want my brain to shrivel up too much!
I also went to Freedom and bought an outdoor setting. By which I mean, a table and two chairs, plus two plastic chairs for the children. The weather is so nice here, it’s a pity not to spend more time outside. After dinner Willow and I went outside. She played with the soy sauce fish from my sushi, giving them rides on her ride-on and telling them to sit on her new chair, while I sat and read my book.
Today is my grandmother’s birthday, she’s 72. I rang her and surprised her with the news that we (Willow, Dexter and I) will be visiting soon. We are leaving on Thursday morning and coming back Saturday morning. It is supposed to be hot, mid 30s, so it will be interesting. I’m reasonably confident coping with both children on my own, but this is a 4 hour trip. If all goes well, I’ll return home via the Coorong. Willow will enjoy stopping at the beach. I will enjoy showing off Dexter to my aunts, uncles and cousins not to mention my grandparents!
