The joys of motherhood.

I have just recovered from a poo-splosion. Yellow mustardy stuff up to my elbows, dripping out of his nappy, leaking onto his swing, then all over the blanket on his change table.

Now he is clean, I am clean and the washing machine is full. I do have one question – Why is it always the pretty nappies that get the worst treatment? He was wearing his Swaddlebees nappy!

Dexter is a strong baby, already he is following the sound of his sister’s voice around the room. Which is not so pleasant when he is feeding and has my nipple in his mouth. I’d forgotten they could stretch that far.

On a more positive note, I saw my GP today about my blood pressure.  (See the story here) My blood pressure was a lovely 120/80, which is the lowest it’s been since about a week before I gave birth.   I guess the medication is finally kicking in.  It had been sitting on /90 before, so /80 is a relief.  Particularly since I woke up with a familiar headache.
