Welcome back!
I had resolved, once I stopped work, to start posting in this blog again. I’ve been off work for nearly 2 months now and haven’t posted once. Of course, I have been busy with the whole ‘having a baby’ thing in that time… So if my writing is not the best, I have an excuse – sleep deprivation!
Dexter is now a month old and we are getting used to having two children. I had forgotten how time consuming a newborn is. Having said that, he’s not a difficult baby – I put him down on a quit on the bathroom floor while Willow and I had a shower this morning and he fell asleep. Willow would never have done that, she always wanted to be close to us.
I am still blown away by his red hair. People would always tell me that Willow has my hair which I could never reconcile in my head. Her hair is light brown with blonde-red tips. My hair is red/strawberry blonde. Now that Dexter is here, I can say that HE has my hair. Willow doesn’t.
In fact, a friend saw a photo of me at 12 months and she could really see his resemblance to me.
Weight. I seem to have lost weight without really trying. My favourite Country Road pants are too loose on me, even my skinny jeans threaten to fall down as I’m walking along. I really need to go through my wardrobe and get rid of all my daggy/bigger clothes but I’m frightened I’ll put the weight back on… I have to avoid that. It’s taken NO effort at all to lose this weight and I’m sure it will take no effort at all to put it back on. The physio I saw during the late stages of Dexter’s pregnancy runs mummy exercise classes, so I’ll have to call about them today.
Okay, I have just booked in for a pre-exercise class assessment as well as the classes themselves. Apparently my PHI will cover some of the cost which is fantastic. Considering how much we pay for it!
